My family has been with State Farm Insurance since 1965 (I've been with them for 30 years). They just sent a letter to my mother canceling her policy for "frequency of claims" because she filed 3 claims during the last 3 years (one per year) due to a leak from the condo unit above her. I can not get the agent to act on my behalf, and they will not permit me to contact the regional manager, anyone else above them so I can present our case. They say this level of contact is reversed for agents only. How this can be legal is beyond me. It seems like extortion to me. They take our money for decades, and when we file a claim (the service we paid for), it's denied via cancellation. Logical? Oh, and by the way, their tagline is "Like A Good Neighbor".
Here is an even worse story.
