I have seen some horrific acts toward animals in many countries and might I add allot have been in well established economic regions. Cultural ritual only accounts for a very small portion of these – it is consumerism and greed that ultimately perpetuates these acts. Animal welfare costs money and that is about what it comes down to.
The choice is yours, as an individual, as a consumer, to take a stand and not just support these acts of barbarism on the forums but make an active contribution and get involved. It can be as little as changing a product you use for another.
